SaveSnakes.org is a volunteer-run snake education and humane relocation project serving the Richmond, Virginia area. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us or use this site, and how we use it.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- When you ask for help or an identification — the photo, location, and any message you send us, plus the contact details you provide (such as an email address or phone number) so we can reply.
- When you message us through Facebook — your interactions are governed by Facebook's own privacy policy, not this one.
This website does not require you to create an account, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.
How we use it
- To identify the snake you've found and respond to your request.
- To coordinate a humane relocation when one is needed.
- Occasionally, and only with your permission, to share an anonymized photo for educational purposes.
Cookies and analytics
This site is static and does not set tracking cookies of its own. If we add basic, privacy-respecting visitor analytics in the future, we will update this page.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete any message, photo, or contact information you've shared at any time. Just email us and we'll take care of it.
